Leopardstown announce rescheduled student raceday after today's meeting was cancelled

Leopardstown have announced that the Spin 1038 Student Races have been rescheduled to take place in two weeks time on Monday 16th April.

The course announced the news adding that all original tickets will still be valid for the new date.

They also said that people with tickets for today's cancelled event will be given free access to the 'Bulmers Live' concert which will be fronted by bands Keywest and Hudson Taylor.

Those who cannot make the new date can claim refunds by emailing refund@leopardstown.

Those claiming refunds must do so before Wednesday, 11th April.

Original shuttle buses running from DCU, UCD, and Maynooth have all been re-booked for the 16th with original tickets still valid.

Around ten thousand punters were left disappointed this morning after officials announced the event was cancelled hours before people were due to descend on the course.

Earlier this morning the racecourse brought the bad news. They said in a statement: "Following greater overnight rainfall than anticipated and with further rain this morning parts of the track have been left unfit for racing with no improvement expected."
